TRINBAGOEVENTS.COM – TERMS & CONDITIONS OF USE

  1. Definitions & Interpretation

1.1 “Platform” means TrinbagoEvents.com and associated services
1.2 “Content” includes all text, images, software, and data on the Platform
1.3 “Force Majeure” means events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, etc.)
1.4 “Organizer” refers to event promoters using our Platform
1.5 “Attendee” means ticket purchasers/event participants

  1. Acceptance of Terms

2.1 By accessing the Platform, users agree to be bound by these Terms
2.2 We reserve the right to modify Terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance
2.3 Violations may result in account suspension, ticket cancellation, or legal action

  1. Platform Services

3.1 Trinbagoevents.com provides:

  • Event discovery and marketing services
  • Secure ticket sales and registration systems
  •  Attendee management tools for Organizers

3.2 We act solely as an intermediary between Organizers and Attendees

  1. Intellectual Property

4.1 All Platform Content is owned by Trinbago Events & Entertainment Company Ltd
4.2 Unauthorized uses may result in legal action under Trinidad & Tobago’s Copyright Act
4.3 Organizers retain rights to their event-specific content

  1. Ticketing Terms

5.1 Purchases

  • All sales are final unless otherwise stated
  • Tickets may be subject to per-person limits
  • Duplicate tickets will be voided (only first scan admitted)

5.2 Pricing & Fees

  • Organizers set base ticket prices
  • Additional fees may include: Service + Bank charges of (6-8% of ticket value)
  1. Refund Policy

6.1 Refund Eligibility

Trinbagoevents.com will issue refunds under the following conditions:

  • Full Event Cancellations – Refunds will be issued if the event is fully canceled (not postponed, rescheduled, or modified).
  • Material Changes to Event – Refunds will be offered if the event undergoes significant changes (e.g., major lineup cancellation, major venue relocation, or major date changes that prevent attendance).

6.2 No refunds will be granted for:

  •  Attendee no-shows or inability to attend.
  • Minor changes to event format, lineup, or venue (e.g., slight schedule adjustments, non-headlining artist changes) 
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.), unless otherwise required by law.

6.3 Organizer Responsibilities

  •       The Organizer must:
  • Clearly advertise refund terms at the point of sale 
  • Notify ticket purchasers of cancellations within 48 hours via email/SMS.
  • Bear all costs for materially misleading event descriptions 
  • Refunds are primarily the responsibility of the event organizer. However, if the organizer fails to meet obligations (e.g., fraud, misrepresentation, or failure to deliver the event based on the description), Trinbagoevents.com may intervene and process refunds after investigation.

6.4 Refund Process & Timelines

  • Approved refunds will be:

o   Processed via the original payment method within 30 calendar days of cancellation.

o   Refunds may be Subject to an administrative fee (unless waived due to organizer fault).

  • Refunds exclude third-party processing fees (e.g., credit card / bank charges).

6.6 Chargebacks & Disputes

  •       The Organizer is fully liable for:

o   100% of chargeback fees if the cancellation results from their negligence.

o   Fraudulent transactions (per T&T’s Electronic Transactions Act).

  •   Trinbagoevents.com reserves the right to withhold organizer payouts to cover refunds or chargebacks.
  1. User Obligations

7.1 Attendees Must:

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Report non-receipt of tickets within 24 hours
  •  Comply with all event rules, safety protocols, instructions from staff, and local laws. Failure to comply may result in attendee removal without refund.

7.2 Organizers Must:

  • Obtain all necessary permits and licenses
  • Where required maintain adequate event insurance 
  • Implement ticket verification systems
  • Disclose all venue restrictions (e.g., age limits, accessibility etc)
  1. Liability Provisions

8.1 Limitations – Trinbagoevents.com is not liable for:

  • Event cancellations or changes by Organizers
  • Personal injury or property damage at events
  • Technical failures beyond our reasonable control
  • Actions of third parties (organizers, venues, performers, contractors etc.)

       8.2 Maximum Liability

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the ticket price paid
  1. Event Participation Waiver

9.1 I understand that participating in this event (including but not limited to marathons, races, sports, festivals, corporate activities or any physical event) involves inherent risks, such as:

  • A Physical injury, illness, or death due to exertion, falls, collisions, or weather conditions.
  • Accidents involving equipment, vehicles, or other people.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases (e.g., COVID-19).

9.2 Assumption of Responsibility

  • Attendees voluntarily accept all risks associated with their participation and confirm that they are physically and mentally fit to participate. If they have any known medical condition, they have consulted a physician before registering.

9.3 RELEASE OF LIABILITY 

By purchasing tickets or registering for an event, the attendees hereby waive, release, and discharge Trinbago Events & Entertainment Company, the event organizers, sponsors, venue owners, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims for:

  • Physical injury, illness, or death due to exertion, falls, collisions, or weather conditions.
  • Property damage or financial loss related to my participation.
  • Emotional distress

9.4 MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION & FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

  • Attendees consent to emergency medical treatment if required. Attendees agree to cover all medical expenses, unless otherwise stated in the event policies
  1. Data Protection

10.1 We comply with Trinidad & Tobago’s Data Protection Act

10.2 Personal data collected will be:

  • Used only for stated purposes
  • Stored securely with encryption
  • Never sold to third parties without consent
  1. Dispute Resolution

11.1 All disputes shall first attempt mediation through the Trinidad & Tobago Chamber of Commerce
11.2 Unresolved disputes will be settled in Port of Spain courts under T&T law
11.3 Users waive rights to class action lawsuits

  1. Special Provisions

12.1 Minors

  • Under-18 attendees require parental/guardian consent
  • Age-restricted events require valid ID verification

12.2 Force Majeure

Neither party liable for failures due to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Utility failures
  • Civil unrest
  1. General Terms

13.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement
13.2 If any provision is invalid, remainder remains enforceable
13.3 Throughout this Agreement, ‘Trinbagoevents.com’ shall be interchangeable with and refer to its legally registered parent company, Trinbago Events & Entertainment Company Ltd.
