Calypso Rose, born Linda McCartha Monica Sandy-Lewis from Bethel Village, Tobago, known as the Queen Mother and Grand Dame of Calypso is a living legend! Her debut classic calypso of 1966, ‘Fire Fire’ has been translated into over 20 languages and in 2017, she won the Victoire de la Musique Award (French Grammy). In 2019, she became the oldest artist ever to headline at the Coachella Festival in California. QOTR is a vibrant tribute to the remarkable journey of Calypso Rose [played by Stacey Sobers-Abraham, NWAC Calypso Queen 2018, actor/singer], whose music has resonated with audiences around the globe.
